Irish people who've lived in Toronto will be familiar with Trinity Bellwoods Park as a place of fun and general debauchery as the weather improves. The coronavirus has thwarted that somewhat, but spring is in the air. Whether the western world suffers the so-called Second Wave of Covid-19 will depend largely on how we act during these first few weeks of loosened restrictions.
Some people are finding social distancing harder than others.
One of the internet stars of the next 24-48 hours will be Irishman Jack Ring, who interrupted an interview that CTV News was conducting with young woman Gillian McAllen about gathering in public in the age of coronavirus with a snog straight out of the Copper Face Jacks dancefloor.
The woman appears shocked, and then delighted. 'Yeah he's so hot!' She said she had just been chatting with RIng.
Ring was asked if he was worried about contracted Covid-19 from a stranger.
'I think the kiss was worth it,' he said, despite flagrantly disregarding all good social distancing practice.
Ring himself tweeted the video this morning:
We hope the couple have made a true Love Connection but videos like this do make us wonder if humanity still has what it takes to defeat coronavirus.
It must be said the dog's reaction was priceless.
