There was an hilarious Irish radio call-in yesterday on Galway Bay FM on their morning quiz segment, featuring some of the most ridiculous answers you are ever likely to hear.
The segment works like this: the hosts give clues and the contestant who has rang in must answer as many as they can in a short amount of time.
Caller of the year! 🤣🤣 #TheSoundofGalway @neilmolloygbfm https://t.co/Cq4k9FaOIm

Hosts: A snooker table has six of these, also a man has two of these.
Caller: Balls!
Hosts: No (laughter). Ok we'll move on. This is, it's a four legged animal that lives out in Africa. It's like a...
Caller: Racehorse.
Hosts: No, no, it's got stripes, I'll move on. Next one, this is a large building. There's one in Mountjoy, there's one in Castlerea, and there's one in Clover Hill.
Caller: Aldi.
Hosts: (Uncontrollable laughter).
Caller: Oh God! Sorry.
Hosts: Did you just say Aldi?
Caller: Give me another clue.
Hosts: You go there when you're bold, when you commit a crime.
Caller: Naughty step.
Unfortunately the caller ran out of time, and she did not win the prize of a hoodie, but the call continued, as did the uncontrollable laughter of present Neil Molloy and his co-host.
We have sympathy for the caller after for the first answer, as the clues were a tad ambiguous, and the first clue for the second question did not narrow it down in the slightest.
However, how she came up with some of the answers we do not know. Sometimes when the spotlight is on you, you crumble under the immense pressure of regional Irish radio.
The video has been a huge hit online, and even Roscommon's Chris O'Dowd was baffled by the quiz-takers lack of Irish prison knowledge.
Big building for naughty people in Castlerea and Mountjoy - Aldi 😂

It adds another chapter to the list of legendary Irish radio and TV segments, and listening to it we can't help but be reminded of the classic 'What's Snots' segment from the Den.
