We love a bit of slang in this country, the vast majority of which will never be understood outside of these borders.
When abroad, you could be speaking to an English speaker who is even more proficient in the language than you are, but they still won't understand many of the phrases that you use.
It can often lead to some quite awkward situations, with one tweet doing the rounds today a perfect example.
Disneyland Paris put out a very innocent tweet saying that 'all food tastes better when it's Mickey shaped'.
Fact: all food tastes better when it's Mickey shaped 🧇 😋 pic.twitter.com/ygN1RYSwXJ

Now, they were obviously referring to the various Mickey Mouse shaped food items that are available in the theme park.
Despite this, Irish people couldn't help but chuckle at the whole thing. As we all know, that word has somewhat of a different meaning in this part of the world.
The responses online were absolutely hilarious.

It would take the Irish to take a perfectly innocent tweet and turn it into something so dirty.
We were dead right to do it as well.
