We're hoors for a good sports documentary in here and they don't come much better than the brilliant Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. After a critically acclaimed first season it has been confirmed today that the series will return next year, with filming currently taking place throughout the 2019 championship.
The first season went behind the scenes of the 2018 Formula 1 Championship and brought a whole new dimension to the sport, focusing on the plethora of mini storylines that were unfolding throughout the year rather than simply paying attention to the race for the title. While Mercedes and Ferrari opted out of the first season, its subsequent success has thankfully resulted in a second season that will feature all ten teams in depth.
Lewis Hamilton once again leads the drivers' standings after picking up his seventh win of the season at Silverstone on 14 July. However, as we mentioned, his quest for a sixth championship is just one minor strand of a far greater story.
If you have yet to watch the first season of the show, you check out the trailer below and stream it on Netflix right now.
