Following on from an IFTA-award winning film and a stellar first season, The Young Offenders are back for season two. The hit show, produced by Vico Films for BBC Three and RTE Two, has begun filming for season two down in Cork, and the first still from the show is here.
It shows the two protagonists Jock and Conor (played by Chris Walley and Alex Murphy respectively) in a St Finian's Community School classroom, with Principal Walsh (played by PJ Gallagher) overlooking them.
The first season was originally broadcast in February 2018. Before the first episode had even aired, the BBC commissioned a second series. The TV series follows on from the film, with Jock and Conor continuing their criminal deeds and teenage misadventures. The show became a hit with Irish and British audiences alike. The Christmas special episode was the broadcaster's second-most popular show on Christmas Day, racking up nearly 500,000 average viewers.
