Domhnall Gleeson made a recent appearance on the popular US show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he called the host out for completely mispronouncing his name in a different episode with Steve Carrell.
The pair were discussing the 2014 film, Frank, which starred Gleeson and Michael Fassbender, when the Irishman brought up Colbert's recent faux pas.
Stephen Colbert: And the band that appears in the movie is called The Soronprfbs’
Domhnall Gleeson : That's right yeah, yeah, they were called the The Soronprfbs’. The idea was the band's name was unpronounceable. You nailed it.
SC: Thank you very much.
DG: You're welcome. So you can imagine my dismay when a few weeks ago you had Steve Carrell on the show, and you said 'now in this series you are with Dom-nom-nal Gleeson.'
SC: Yes Dom-dom-nal, I may have said Dom-dom-na-nal.
DG: It was a car crash. It was a mess.
SC: But you can't blame me, Irish names are impossible..... Siobhán??
DG: I'm not going to take this from a Cole-bert.
SC: It's a fair cop, it's a fair cop.

Irish names are notoriously difficult for Americans to pronounce, with good reason as well, given the sounds of the letters do not reflect what their pronunciation in the English alphabet.
Colbert understandably brings this up when he mentions the name Siobhán, but there are many other examples such as Aoife, Seán, Caoimhe, and Saoirse.
It is also the second appearance in the last few days of a Gleeson on late-night US TV, with Domhnall's father, Brendan, making a memorable appearance as the host of SNL.
