You can't beat a good gameshow.
While there always seem to be new ones popping up, a few modern classics remain to be the cream of the crop. The likes of The Chase, Pointless, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? remain essential viewing whenever you see them on TV.
A new offering from Channel 4 sounds like it could become another instant classic.
Their new show One & Six Zeros will soon go into production, and with contestants able to win up to £1million, it should be an absolute belter. To make it even better, it will be hosted by Ireland's own Dara O'Briain.
They win the million; or I get it. Every episode. That’s the deal. I think. I certainly suggested that at a meeting and somebody wrote it down. https://t.co/p3sV8ZfuHl

The format of the show should make for some very dramatic TV.
Essentially, teams of the three players will have to answer seven general knowledge questions to win the entire jackpot £1million.
They will start with £1million in the bank and will have to answer each question correctly to keep it in tact.
However, if they answer a question incorrectly, they will knock a '0' off the end of that £1,000,000 figure. That would see the money they had become only one-tenth of what it previously was.
That means you can lose nearly all of the jackpot within a few questions.
The team can also swap out a question they do not know the answer to for another one, although they will be hit with a yet to be revealed penalty if they choose to do so.
In all, it should make for some very entertaining viewing.
Dara Ó Briain has said that he can't wait to get started:
I’m delighted to host this new quiz show for Channel 4 and Mighty Productions. It should be funny and tense and you, at home, will definitely think you could have done better than the contestants.
Plus, I get to keep any of the money they don’t win! I think that’s the deal, I didn’t read the small print.
One & Six Zeros will air across six episodes, although no date for its arrival has been revealed as of yet.
