The teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's new film 'Oppenheimer' dropper earlier today, with Cillian Murphy playing the lead role as legendary physicist Robert J. Oppenheimer.
As one of the world's premier directors, Nolan has once again assembled a star-laden cast that includes Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, and Rami Malek.
'Oppenheimer' is scheduled for release during prime summer blockbuster time, on July 21 2023.

The film will follow the life of Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer and his work on the 'Manhattan Project', which lead to the invention of the world's first atomic bomb, and essentially changed the course of modern history.
It will be the fifth time the Corkman and Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy has teamed up with Nolan. The pair also worked together on Nolan's Batman trilogy, Inception, and Dunkirk.
It is Murphy's first feature film role since 2020's 'A Quiet Place Part II', with most of the actor's time being taken up by his lead role in the popular 'Peaky Blinders' series, where he plays the main character Thomas Shelby.
For Nolan it will be his first movie since 2020's 'Tenet', a messy film that received mixed reviews. And while it made a profit at the box office, it did relatively poorly compared to his other massive hits.
Playing the lead role in a biopic from one of the greatest directors ever, it certainly puts Cillian Murphy in pole position for at least a nomination at the 2024 Academy Awards.
Cillian Murphy said of Nolan in Frebruary,
I’ll always turn up for Chris, whatever the size of the part. Chris will call me up and I’m there. Isn’t it wonderful that filmmakers are still making challenging, demanding films within the studio system, shot on film rather than Imax? I think he’s flying the flag. Him, Paul Thomas Anderson and Quentin Tarantino, are fantastic filmmakers making interesting work on a massive scale.
