Christy Moore was his usual brilliant self last night, during one of the many gigs he is playing at Vicar Street this winter.
A particular highlight was his rendition of a lesser known song called 'Snowflakes' from Irish artist Martin Leahy, whose lyrics calls out racists and right-wingers who have been prominent in the news and on social media over the past year.

Irish band Lankum posted of Moore's cover to Twitter, while the singer also acknowledged and thanked Leahy, who was overjoyed at the 'brilliant Christy Moore' singing his tune.
"Well they're ready for the fight," Moore sung.
They're ready for the war. They're ready around the clock.
With vicious, hateful, threatening turns of phrase on Twitter, telegram, and TikTok.
They parade around like peacocks, but they never can explain, why when it comes to social media, they're afraid to use their name.

Lankum are one of Ireland' most outspoken bands, and were top of the bill at November's 'Gig for Gaza' in the 3Arena.
“Like most people of sound mind and reason around the globe, we are heartbroken and shocked to see the indiscriminate murder of children and civilians happening for the past few weeks," the band said in a statement calling out the actions of Israel.
“This, on top of decades of oppression, persecution and dehumanisation is something we can only struggle to comprehend.
“That is why we are very proud to raise our voices in solidarity with the people of Palestine. It’s the very very least we can do."
