The appearance of Charles Ingram on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' was the subject of a three-part mini-series titled 'Quiz' which was broadcast by ITV last week.

In the drama, Matthew MacFadyen stars as Charles Ingram, Sian Clifford as his wife Diana and Michael Sheen as quiz show host Chris Tarrant.

It covered the scandal which saw Ingram, at the time a serving army major, Diana and another contestant on the show, Tecwen Whittock, being found guilty of cheating to win the £1 million. At the time, he was just the third person on the British edition of the show to win the top prize.

It was claimed that they did so by coughing to prompt Ingram to select the correct answer. Charles and Diana Ingram still contest the charges and are planning to challenge the decision. They argue that new audio analysis puts into doubt the evidence which was used to convict them.

The episode of the show in which Ingram reached the £1 million - which was recorded on September 9th and 10th 2001 - did not air until much later.

The producers became suspicious during the show's recording and contacted police on September 11th, the same day at the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York.

The real footage of Ingram's time in the gameshow's hot seat has now been released on YouTube.
