SOMA #037 ft. Nealo, Jehnova, BoyW1DR & Burner Records DJs
Whelan's Upstairs, Dublin, 20 December
The 37th iteration of the SOMA gig series contains one of its best ever line-ups. An all hip-hop affair, FaR Collective's Boy W1dr brings his trap stylings to the table. Also on the bill is NUXENSE's Jehnova, who brings boom-bap stylings to the fore. The headliner of the night is one of the shining lights of Irish hip-hop at the moment, Nealo. Often aided on stage by Jehnova, Nealo has a unique live show that you can't miss.
Also, Burner Records DJs are on hand to get everyone one-two stepping into Christmas. Doors are at 11pm.
Damien Dempsey
Vicar Street, Dublin, 20 December
Damien Dempsey's annual Christmas show is the highlight of many people's December festivities and this year is proving no different with a third date added to his Vicar Street run. Tickets are as rare as hens' teeth but if you and your crew can get your hands on some then this is not to be missed.

Picture This
INEC Arena, Kerry, 20 December
Over the last four years the Picture This lads have taken over the Irish airwaves. After topping the Irish charts with their self-titled debut album, their second effort, 'Mdrn Lv' also reached no.1 upon its release earlier this year. Their gig in Killarney is the perfect way to kick off Christmas for anyone in the region.
Doors are at 9pm.
David O'Doherty's Christmas Show
The Sugar Club, Dublin, 18, 22 and 23 December
A musical act with a difference! David O'Doherty is a unique comedian who is just downright funny. His gigs are a mixture of jokes and 'songs' such as 'Grand Designs' and the all-time great 'You've sent a text to the person the text is about.' His distinctive form of stand-up will be even more intriguing given it's a Christmas show. One thing is for sure, it's guaranteed to be entertaining!
The doors open at 7pm on each night.
