With Bruce Springsteen's weekly syndicated show 'From His Home to Yours' airing on Radio Nova, Irish fans of The Boss are delighted to be given a more intimate insight into the legendary musician.
However, as fans of Springsteen will know, it's arguable that the most candid and thorough account of his career was in the memoir, Born To Run: Bruce Springsteen.
Aside from this, the Netflix special Springsteen On Broadway is also a magnificent insight into the life and career of The Boss, but if you're looking for more, RTÉ have just the thing in store.
That's because on Saturday at 01:10, they'll be showing a repeat of the documentary Bruce Springsteen: In His Own Words.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Nigel Cole, the 70-minute documentary explores key moments in Springsteen‘s life that provided the influence for some of his most acclaimed songs across his extensive career.
Throughout the documentary, the musician explores his early years growing up in Freehold, New Jersey, recounting the seminal moments that fuelled his relentless drive to become a musician, his years as a bar band king in Asbury Park, the rise of The E Street Band, and his eventual ascendancy to the top of rock’s hierarchy.
If you're looking for another intimate portrayal of the New Jersey legend, don't forget to record/watch Bruce Springsteen: In His Own Words when it airs at 01:10 on RTÉ2 this Saturday.
