"The Boss" Bruce Springsteen is back in Dublin this week for a sell-out run of shows in the RDS - and he's getting his sightseeing underway early, having already made a few exciting visits across the city this week.
Springsteen arrived in Dublin on Wednesday ahead of his three show run in the RDS from Friday to Tuesday. In images shared to social media on Wednesday, the rock legend could be seen with a hero of Irish music - and in an iconic location of Irish music - ramping up excitement for his sell out shows.
Bruce Springsteen sees the sights on much anticipated return to Dublin
There are few better shows in music than a Bruce Springsteen show, and thousands of Dublin concert goers are set to enjoy "the Boss" in action this weekend in the RDS, as he returns to the capital with his iconic E Street Band.
With a three hour plus show expected on each night, the concerts are set to be a treat for those in attendance - and "adopted Irishman" Springsteen is making himself at home ahead of his week in the capital.
Ahead of the run of shows, he paid a visit to a legend of music on these shores, one Shane MacGowan of the Pogues.
MacGowan's wife Victoria shared a photo of the pair together at the MacGowan family home to Twitter, saying "What an amazing honour and a beautiful experience to get a visit from the Boss!!! Such a truly wonderful man and a total genius!"
Hard to argue with any of that. The heartwarming image of the pair together was the perfect way to get Springsteen's Irish stay underway.

As well as rubbing shoulders with Irish music royalty, Bruce Springsteen also paid a visit to an iconic location in the history of music in this country - Windmill Lane Recording Studios.
The long-time home of U2 has welcomed many other immortal acts through its doors, including The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush, Simple Minds, and Hozier, and now they can count a 2023 visit from Bruce Springsteen.
Windmill Lane shared a tweet revealing 'The Boss' did some recording in Studio One in the Ringsend Road location - we can only hope those recordings see the light of day.

Ahead of the run of shows, Irish broadcaster Charlie Bird - who is currently suffering from motor neurone disease - shared his "bucketlist" dream to meet Springsteen. We can only hope his wish is granted before Springsteen departs at the end of his RDS shows.
On my bucket list I said I would love to meet Bruce Springsteen, I have no idea if that will happen. Another wish is helping Pieta as long as I can. next Saturday that wish is happening, I will be walking in the Phoenix Park with Pieta. Please let’s help everyone in a dark place. pic.twitter.com/zXygbq5LzM
