This afternoon, Hot Press magazine has issued a statement in response to allegations made about writer Olaf Tyaransen. The magazine confirmed that Tyaransen has decided 'by mutual agreement' to take leave from Hot Press 'while he deals with these allegations'. In the statement, Hot Press also state that Tyaransen's position is that the allegations made against him are 'completely untrue and he is 'completely innocent'.

Tyaransen is a contributing editor for Hot Press and a longtime features writer for the magazine. Allegations of a serious nature were made about him in a widely-shared blog post published this week, allegations which Tyaransen denies.
