One of the most awkward sports interviews we've ever seen took place at Wimbledon earlier today, after Spain's Paola Badosa was forced to retire from her second round match against Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk.
A run of bad injury luck has seen the Spaniard slip from no.2 in the world rankings to no.34, and after her loss, a journalist queried her over her fitness.
However, he was under the impression that Badosa had won her match, and even when told otherwise he bizarrely continued to power on through with his question without acknowledging his faux pas, much to the bewilderment of Badosa.

For those of you who cannot view the clip, the awkward conversation went like this:
Reporter: Congratulations on your win.
Paola Badosa: I lost.
R: You missed some matches because of injury
PB: Yes.
R: Could you please tell us about your fitness and confidence level please?
PB: For you information I just lost, I didn't win.
R: She didn't win? You missed some matches because of injury.
PB: Yes
R: Could you please tell us about your fitness and confidence levels.
PB: Well I'm not feeling at my best form, I just retired, so yeah, I wish I could feel better.
Kostyuk is now into the third round at this year's Wimbledon Championship, where she face the Madison Keys of the United States.
