There was big controversy at the US Open during Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula's doubles loss against Leylah Fernandez and Daria Saville.
During the match deciding tie-break in the third set, Gauff and Pegula were trailing 7-5, three points away from losing, when it looked as if Gauff had won a point back after she let fly and un-returnable smash to her opponents.
However, Saville had put her hand up and called let as a piece of paper had flown onto the court just after Gauff's shot. The umpire seconded the call and ordered the point to be retaken.
Gauff and Pegula immediately went over to share their disgust at his decision.

We're not sure on the exact rules in this area but it seems desperately unfair on Gauff and Pegula, considering the enormity of the point and the fact that the paper had not even crossed the lines of the court until after Gauff had hit her shot.
Gauff will continue her US Open journey in the singles this evening when she meets Madison Keys in the third round of the tournament.
Her partner, Pegula, is not so lucky and her first-round doubles loss will be her last involvement in this year's US Open.
