There was some wonderful sport to savour this weekend. The Champions League final may have taken top billing but in terms of excitement, the French Open certainly gave it a run for its money. From Murray's almost there comeback to Serena's seemingly unstoppable march to a grand slam record, it was enthralling viewing.
And we haven't even mentioned Stan Wawrinka yet. The Swiss 30 year old has been slowly but surely stepping out of Roger Federer's shadow over the past few years and yesterday he well and truly did that. Wawrinka dominated Novak Djokovic in a manner no one expected, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.
After the first set it was all one way traffic and it seemed that Wawrinka could do no wrong. Take for example this incredible 'outside the net' winner to shore up the third set.
Shot of the year? We won't argue with that.
