As you've probably heard by now it's rather warm at the Australian Open, with ball boys collapsing, and water bottles melting and whatnot but Canadian player Frank Dancevic has perhaps the most the bizarre heat induced story of the lot.

Dancevic collapsed due to the 42C heat the middle of his match and was unconscious for around a minute. He came back to the match, losing in three sets but afterwards he told the tale of what he went through before he collapsed.

'I was dizzy from the middle of the first set and then I saw Snoopy and I thought, “Wow Snoopy, that’s weird”.

‘I couldn’t keep my balance anymore and I leaned over the fence and when I woke up people were all around me.’

Sorry, what? He saw Snoopy? OK....

Dancevic said it was inhumane asking players to compete in such conditions, saying ‘It’s hazardous to be out there, it’s dangerous. Until somebody dies, they’re going to keep playing playing matches in this heat… and personally I don’t think it’s fair.'
