Novak Djokovic has been announced as the latest name added to a star-studded European team for this year's Laver Cup, where he will link up with three of his "biggest all-time rivals".
The Laver Cup sees a European team battle a team composed of the best talent from the rest of the world, in a tennis equivalent to the Ryder Cup.
Sensationally, this year's European team will unite Djokovic with Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Andy Murray for the first time ever, making a daunting prospect for Team World to face down.
Novak Djokovic excited to link up with great rivals
For years now, the "GOAT" debate in tennis has raged on between the three greats of the modern era - Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer.
Nadal currently leads the way on 22 Grand Slam wins - despite chronic injury problems, he won this year's Australian and French Opens. Djokovic sits one behind Nadal after his recent Wimbledon win. Federer is a further title behind on 20, and is unlikely to add to his tally.

This year's Laver Cup will unite the three on the same team for the first time ever, alongside Scotsman Andy Murray, who shared many Grand Slam duels with the trio and won three of his own in the 2010s. Between them, the quartet have won 66 of the last 76 Grand Slam titles.
The latest to be announced as part of the team was Djokovic on Friday morning. Speaking on his decision to join the team, the Serb said:
I'm really excited to be joining Team Europe again for the Laver Cup at London's O2 Arena in September.
It's the only competition where you can play in a team environment with guys that you're normally competing against and to be joining Rafa, Roger and Andy - three of my biggest all-time rivals - it's going to be a truly unique moment in the history of our sport.
European captain Bjorn Borg certainly seems excited by the addition of Djokovic to his already star-studded team:
I don't think I could have imagined having these four icons of the sport on one team together.
I know they, like I, appreciate the significance of this moment and will be truly up for it.
Each year our goal is to win. With Rafa, Roger, Andy and Novak on the team, I like our chances.
You wouldn't fancy your chances against a team that includes quite possibly the four best players of the modern era, with two more additions to the European team still to come.
The tournament takes place between two teams of six, one comprised of the best European players, and the other comprised of the best from the rest of the world. It takes place over three days, with each day seeing three singles games and one doubles game.
Team World (with captain John McEnroe) currently comprises of Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, American Taylor Fritz, and Argentinean Diego Schwartzman.
The tournament takes place from September 23 to 25 this year in London's O2 Arena and - barring any late injury withdrawals, the super team of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray will be enough of a reason to tune in.
