What a fantastic final!
Mark Selby defeated John Higgins to defend his title as the World Snooker Champion, winning by 18 frames to 15.
The 11+ hour final was extremely enjoyable to watch as Selby came back from what looked like an unassailable lead on day one with a spectacular performance on the May bank holiday.
There was comedy, and controversy, in the final but Selby got the job done with some outstanding snooker, and once the win was confirmed the gave the packed Crucible audience one last exhibition-style shot.
That was superb, a shame he couldn't clear the table but he didn't look too upset.
What a man!
Commiserations to John Higgins who contested a cracking final, but Selby was machine-like, and great value for his win.
