Ken Doherty is just one qualifying win away from a place at the World Snooker Championships.
The current world number 77 - and 1997 world champion - faces Welshman Matt Stevens on Tuesday morning.
Doherty beat Northern Irish man Graham Greene in the previous round. He also defeated Kildare's Josh Boileau in qualifying.
It will be a best of 19 encounter between Doherty and Stevens. World number 52 Stevens leads Doherty 9-8 in terms of their all-time match-ups.
