Former World No.5 snooker player Stephen Lee was fined over €2,200 by a judge, after selling his personal cue to a fan online, but never actually posting the cue.
Lee, now 39, sold his cue to a fan based in Hong Kong via his Facebook page for just under €2,000, and had the money paid into his wife's bank account, but continued to use the cue in his private residence.
Lee had once been one of the best snooker players in the world, before being suspended in 2012 for match-fixing, being found guilty of influencing seven games between 2008 and 2009. His ban will run until 2024.
