Ronnie O'Sullivan is the latest favourite to exit this year's World Snooker Championship ahead of time.

Taking on Ali Carter for a place in the quarter-final, O'Sullivan went down 13-9 and followed last year's champion Mark Selby out of the Crucible.

However, the snooker itself will is not what has got people talking.

In the 19th frame, with Carter leading and O'Sullivan clearly unhappy with some aspect of his opponent's approach, 'the rocket' caught Carter with a slight shoulder as he made his was from the table.

Having fluked Carter into a snooker, O'Sullivan informed Carter that this was one for "being Mr. Angry."

Informing his opponent that it was his shot, Carter simply replied: "Thank you very much, very nice of you." A fairly juvenile O'Sullivan was then encouraged by referee Paul Collier to "just play on."

A bizarre scene in the Crucible, you can watch it play out below.

When the match ended shortly thereafter, O'Sullivan fairly rapidly left the arena.
