Ronnie O'Sullivan hit the headline this week in his lengthy treatise on the unprofessionalism of "numpties". These are the journeymen players who have the temerity to be drawn against O'Sullivan in the first round of a tournament, with O'Sullivan chastising their families desire to treat the game as a photo-op with Ronnie.
This was probably an unfair diatribe on The Rocket's part, but his sheer contempt for these early-tournament challengers was tonight borne out on the table, too. Lukas Kleckers was beaten 4-2 in the opening round of the Northern Ireland Open, with the highlight of the match this deeply, deeply satisfying cut by O'Sullivan on a red in the second frame.
