The 2023-24 snooker season is in full swing. This week's live snooker comes straight from China as the snooker championship tour sees a return of the Shanghai Masters following a four-year absence due to COVID-19.

Returning champion Ronnie O'Sullivan is through to the final, his latest victory coming against Mark Selby in a pulsating semi-final match-up by 10-7. In the other semi-final current world champion Luca Brecel defeated Neil Robertson by the same 10-7 finish.

The semi-finals have set up a pulsating final matchup between the two best players in world snooker, and we have all the info on the upcoming final.

When is the Shanghai Masters

The Shanghai Masters is taking place this week, starting on Monday, September 11th and running till Sunday, September 17th.

The final between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Luca Brecel is set to get underway on the morning of Sunday September 17th.

What is the format of this year's tournament?

Each game in the tournament is the best of 11 frames up to and including the quarter-final stage. After the quarter-final stage, the semi-finals will be the best of 19 frames, with the final being the best of 21 frames.
