Liang Wenbo made the first 147 of the new snooker season at the English Open on Wednesday afternoon.
The Chinese player had been trailing 3-2 against Tom Ford in the second round of the tournament when he hit a maximum break to level the match.
If no one matches Liang's feat by the end of the tournament, he will pocket £42,000.
The 30-year-old was visibly and audibly emotional as he first sank a tough pink and then the black to seal the 147.
Even Mark Williams and Luca Brecel, who were playing on the neighbouring table, stopped their game to watch as Liang cleared the table.
