We don't want to alarm you, but this year will mark the 25th anniversary of Ken Doherty's only World Championship title.
No Irishman has managed to repeat that feat in the intervening years, with Doherty himself coming closest when he lost finals in both 1998 and 2003.
It has been a number of years since the Dubliner has been competing at the highest level, although he has transitioned to the senior ranks in recent times.
Doherty is currently in action at the UK Seniors Championship in Hull, booking his place in the next round of the event after a 3-0 victory over Lee Walker this afternoon.
It was a dominant performance from the 52-year old on his way to the whitewash, although he did have some early luck to help him on his way.
Leading late on in the opening frame, Doherty needed to pick up a few more colours or snooker his opponent in order to ensure he would take the lead in the match.
Attempting to play a snooker on the brown, a stroke of luck would see him pot the ball. This was quickly followed by another fluke on the blue, this time pulling off a perfect snooker despite initially trying to put the ball in the middle pocket.
You can watch bizarre sequence of play below.

Incredible.
This gave Doherty the initiative to go on and win the match in a comfortable fashion, playing some beautiful snooker along the way.
