The official 'World Rugby' YouTube channel has today uploaded a video earmarking 5 players who played in this year's U20 World Championships who they believe will go on to be a rugby legend in the future, and there's an Irishman in there!
Anybody who watched any of the Ireland U20s' recent games will know who Gary Ringrose is. The UCD centre and former Blackrock man is being talked about as one of the next stars of Irish rugby, and was even nominated for World U20 player of the year.
The exciting prospect was talked up by senior internationals when he trained with the Ireland squad before last year's Autumn internationals, and now Ringrose has joined the likes of England's Aaron Morris and New Zeland's Akira Ioane as being selected as one of World Rugby's five future rugby legends:
If you hadn't heard of him before, you have now, and we're willing to bet this won't be the last time.
No pressure now Gary, just rugby legend status will be grand, thanks.
