A feature length documentary detailing the final four years of Ronan O'Gara's career will be shown on RTE 2 on Thursday the 2nd of January and if that somehow doesn't excite you enough then the above image of ROG and Sexton gazing in opposite directions should do it.
RTE say that:
Intense, unflinching, at times painfully honest – just like the man himself. This feature-length documentary provides unprecedented access to Ronan O’Gara’s life – public and private – over the final four years of his playing career.
The film is a deeply personal chronicle of this dramatic period for one of Ireland’s most compelling sporting stars; from losing his place as Ireland’s rugby No 10 to his decision to retire and move to France as coach to Racing Métro 92, alongside former nemesis, Jonathan Sexton. You will not want to miss this.
Interestingly Peter O'Reilly of the Sunday Times detailed back in March that the documentary on O'Gara was shelved because of some unflattering remarks he made about one Declan Kidney.
So has enough time passed? Has it been edited out? Has ROG gone all Roy Keane on Deccie? We wait with baited breath.
