Welcome to the latest in our series of Rugby Folk Pick Their Lions Team And Include X Amount Of Irish Players. The latest entrant to this Hall of Fame is Will Greenwood, once an English World Cup winner and now the face of Sky's rugby coverage. Naturally, the latter post demands a lot of Lions talk, and we can happily report that Greenwood has been kind to the Irish in his selection: unlike, say Shane Williams.
There are a few mad calls in here, including ill-discipline's Dylan Hartley as captain (!) and a selection for Leinster winger Adam Byrne, who at 22 years of age, has yet to be picked for the Irish senior squad. Byrne is precocious: he was the youngest player to play for Leinster when he made his debut at the age of 18 back in 2012, and has been in superb form for his province this season, but his selection as a Lions test starter would be the definition of a bolter.
There are five Irish included, one of whom is not Johnny Sexton: Greenwood prefers Owen Farrell at out-half, a decision echoed by Dan Carter.
Alongside Byrne are CJ Stander, Conor Murray, Robbie Henshaw and Tadhg Furlong. It is below, and upon our first brief glance, we thought he had picked Warren Gatland at full-back.
