In today's Sindo, rugby pundit Neil Francis shared his disgust at the sight of encountering Munster fans in Cardiff yesterday wearing Northampton scarves. The story is suspiciously offline, but here's the money line:
"Once again, a small minority of Munster fans managed to disgrace themselves by wearing Northampton scarves over their Munster jerseys. I'm afraid, lads, you have to get out of your pool before you can do that!"
God, I thought we'd all moved on. Now with all of the men with camera phones in Cardiff yesterday, someone must have an image of these dudes, if they do truly exist (email [email protected] and we'll share them with the world). Now, we know Francis's feud with the Munster nation goes back awhile. I'm sure he wasn't impressed to discover allegations about his links to Watergate on his Wikipedia page recently. The Munster-Leinster slagging is about as boring as the East Coast-West Coast rap feud at this point, but the 'group stage' dig has rankled Munster fans, especially those online. Francis, for his part, is doing his bit to keep tensions high.
