Earlier this week, the New Zealand Herald, sore at the sight of the Telegraph's team of the autumn internationals, essentially called Johnny Sexton a 'bottler'. Incidentally, the offending journalist, Gregor Paul, is actually Scottish.
Well, the Western Mail (or Wales Online as it's known, er, online) clearly disagree and have compiled a list the top 10 out-halves in the world right now. Paul's choice for out-half of the year, Handre Pollard only comes in at 10th, New Zealand's stylish young out-half Beaudan Barrett is at no, 6, just behind fellow All Black Aaron Cruden.
Indulging in a bit of hometown favouritism, they stick Dan Biggar in at no.4. Long time king Dan Carter comes in at third, while Australia's Bernard Foley is ranked at no. 2.
And no.1 is Racing Metro's finest, Johnny Sexton. Anyone who's read a Welsh rugby journalist knows how difficult it is for them to aniont an Irish 10 the best in the world. Truly, this is a mark of how far Sexton has come.
