Australia's slump continued today as they fell to a 23-19 loss against Argentina at Cbus Stadium, Gold Coast in a loss that saw an angry Australian fan confront blindside flanker Lukhan Tui post-match.
There has been scathing criticism of head coach Michael Cheika in recent months, but Wallabies hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau led the players in publicly backing him as the best man for the job.
Today's result was Australia's fifth defeat in just six matches. A monster 51-metre penalty pushed the Pumas four clear and the Wallabies search for a last-minute try failed after an Israel Folau handling error. The frustration post-match was obvious as a confrontation between Tui and a fan turned physical.
Woah. Understand frustration from wallabies fans, but no room for this. Ugly at the Gold Coast. Push and shove between fans and players pic.twitter.com/rIduG6ajgj

The brief respite that last week's win over South Africa delivered is now gone for Australia, and the sides are set for a rematch next at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
