Ireland U20s were part of a wonderful game of rugby in their opening game of the World Rugby U20s Championships today. The Wolfpuppies had their asses handed to them in the first twenty minutes - conceding three tries and losing 17-0. They won the next hour 26-9; to claim the victory by a point.
While we loved the Irish performance, there was a moment of foul play that was completely missed by officials at the game. Lock Adam Beard's hand appears to be in the face of Irish backrow Kelvin Browne:
If Beard is cited for the incident, that could be the end of his tournament. Beard already has PRO12 experience, so it won't be the end of his career.
