It's the first time since 1990 that Ronan O'Gara's Racing 92 are in the Top 14 final. It finally looked like the Parisian's spending, and O'Gara's coaching is paying off.
The Irishman is continuing to impress in his first coaching role, but he won't be happy with his defense in the thrilling Top 14 semi-final against Clermont on Friday night. O'Gara's Racing team drew with Clermont in a fantastic 27-27 game before extra time happened.
In the last minutes of extra time, Racing were six points down and needed a miracle. They had a lineout in their own half which they took quickly - only for it to be intercepted. In the most remarkable sequence of events, another interception and the pace of Juan Imhoff managed to score for Racing.
It was left to Dan Carter to book Racing's place in the final against either Montpeiller or Toulon with a 99th minute touchline conversion. That's why he's paid the big bucks.
