Racing are in Limerick tonight, aiming to salvage some pride following their shellacking at home to Munster a fortnight ago. Speaking in the raw aftermath of the first game, Ronan O'Gara was not exactly relishing his return home. The wildly divergent form of Munster and Racing left ROG gloomy, grimly remarking ahead of the game:
The scary thing from our point of view is that we have to go to Thomond Park. That could be...on today's performance, beyond embarrassing.
After that? Not at all.
In spite of such doomsaying, O'Gara seems to have enjoyed his return to his old stomping ground with Racing, and clearly took great joy in striding out before the Munster fans ahead of the warm-ups.
And in proof that old habits die hard, O'Gara jogged over to join the Munster warm-up, before flicking back to reality.
