Rugby refs know how to make you feel like a disobedient 13 year old at a boarding school.
Connacht earned an historic win over Munster at Thomond Park on Saturday evening, and although a terrible decision saw the ref take a bit of criticism despite an otherwise excellent performance, Ben Whitehouse gave us one of our favourite sights in modern rugby.. A ref telling a player who's boss.
Muldoon was complaining about having the ball slapped out of his hands, but the referee did not care for his tone, so he proceeded to remind him who was in control:
Sorry sir.
You're damn right.
That was almost Nigel Owens-esque from Whitehouse, although he has some way to go before he can match the master of the player put-down.
Also, that "ref-cam" is good for something after all.
