London Irish overcame Worcester Warriors 22-9 today, but the result came with an embarrassing error during the game as a water-carrier carried the tee onto the field, forcing Greig Tonk to kick for goal.
One of rugby's basic laws is that 'intention to kick is signaled by the arrival of the kicking tee.' Therefore, when the London Irish watercarrier appeared holding a tee, it meant the decision was made.
Tonks was obviously aware of the mishap and seemed to encourage the water-carrier to get rid off the tee, which was quickly put up his jumper. However, it was to no avail as the referee had already spotted it.

As for the result, it does little for London Irish's season as they remain bottom of the table, sixteen points adrift of their nearest rival.
