There was an unpleasant scene in this evening's Six Nations U20 tie between Ireland and Italy at Donnybrook.
After a frantic opening where both sides ran in unconverted tries, Jacopo Bianchi was red-carded for a horrendous spear-tackle on Ireland's Jack Dunne.
With the referee immediately calling a halt to play, a quick consultation with the TMO confirmed what looked immediately like a red-card tackle.
Making no effort whatsoever to take care with bringing Dunne down from the tackle, Italy were reduced to 14 men for the majority of the tie.
As of 10 minutes later, Ireland made the difference count; leading 26-5.
