Peter O'Mahony put in the kind of performance that will be spoken about for some time as Ireland defeated England and prevented a Grand Slam win at The Aviva Stadium today.
The Munster man was nothing short of immense as he dominated the lineout, carried the ball with purpose, and was a black hole swallowing England attacks all afternoon.
And you could see the effort that he put into the match in his interview as he was handed his medal for man of the match. He needed a few seconds to catch his breath, before praising the work of his teammates.

Being told moments before kick-off that you had been inserted into the starting lineup due to injury is a very difficult mental hurdle... For most players, but not O'Mahony.
The question will of course now be asked as to why he didn't start more games in the championship. Eddie O'Sullivan had been beating the Pete O'Mahony drum for weeks, and you could see how happy he was to analyse his performance at half-time.
It's crazy to think that he wouldn't have started if it weren't were an injury in the warmup to Jamie Heaslip...
