You need look no further than Sean Cronin last night to know that the immovable big man is (largely) a thing of rugby past. So, with that in mind, it should come as no surprise to see a rampaging flanker collect a pass from deep and take the ball in hand.
Having said that, there are surely some limits to what you should expect in that situation. Or perhaps not. With the likes of Jerome Kaino having us all well used to what New Zealand expect from their flankers, we thought we were well prepared. Then up steps Vaea Fifita.
With Argentina looking like they may cause a hell of a shock in New Plymouth this morning, Fifita took the ball in hand and quite frankly laughed at the oncoming Argentina defence.
The reaction in New Zealand to Fifiti's performance should tell you all you need to know about just how highly the Tongan born 25 year old is rated.
Sadly, I think Fifita may have ended Kaino's test career tonight. #NZLvARG #allblacks

With the All Blacks trailing 15-22 before Fifita crossed the line, it's easy to see why he was named man of the match as they eventually ran out 39-22 winners
