Form Guide

The Stormers who finished third in the table and are the defending champions are slight favourites. Their home advantage will be huge with over fifty thousand Stormers fans and a tedious journey for the travelling Munster squad and given their celebrations at Leinster's loss they're well aware of that advantage. They played both their quarter and semi-final at home winning both comfortably against the Bulls and Connacht respectively as well as winning 12 URC games in the regular season, however, Munster will be a whole different challenge.

Munster have had a mixed season, with inconsistency rife in their performances. They finished fifth in the table winning just ten of eighteen games. However, their form since the return of their key players from Six Nations duty has been phenomenal. Unlike the Stormers, they travelled away for both their quarter and semi-final, leaving Glasgow with a win before coming to the Aviva Stadium and delivering a shock upset to Leinster with a Munster-esque Jack Crowley drop goal in the dying moments.

Both Munster and the Stormers met just a couple of weeks ago in the same stadium during the penultimate round of the URC where Munster came up with one of their most complete performances of the season to beat the Stormers 26-24.

If Munster can find that same form they've shown against both the Stormers and Leinster, this game should be a fierce battle with little separating the two sides and very possibly one of the greatest league finals of the decade.
