It's been a long time coming for Scotland, but much of the potential they'e threatened to let loose over the past three seasons finally culminated in a magnificent 29-18 victory over France at Murrayfield.
It remains to be seen whether this will be Scotland's 'break-out' performance - a trip to Landsdowne Road next week likely to provide somewhat of an acid test - but one Scot who has gone solo as a legitimate world class talent since his debut in 2012 is Stuart Hogg. And the 23-year-old was up to his usual tricks this evening.
With 15 minutes remaining and just three points separating the sides, the electric Hogg provided a helping hand to a looping pass by Greig Laidlaw, guiding it into the palms of Tim Visser who slid in to finish the tie as a contest.
With the re-emergence of French flair earlier in the same fixture, and Ireland's offload-heavy try against Italy yesterday, is the 6 Nations coming out of its shell?
Probably not. So let's enjoy these moments while we get them, shall we?
