Warren Gatland names his Lions squad for this summer's tour of New Zealand at 12pm today. The New Zealander will made the Lions squad announcement from the Hilton London Syon Park.
It had been expected that Gatland would announce a 37-man squad. However, according to reports, it could be larger than expected. The Telegraph say Gatland could name a 40-man squad.
Lions squad announcement:
A number of big names are anticipated to be omitted from the squad. Those include England captain Dylan Hartley along with 2017 Six Nations winning pair Jonathan Joseph and Joe Launchbury.
Despite not being first choice for Wales, Jamie Roberts will reportedly be included in the touring party.
Sam Warburton is expected to be named as captain for the second consecutive tour. The back row captained the Lions on their victorious tour of Australia four years ago.
The tour of New Zealand begins on June 3rd and will feature 10 games including three tests against the All Blacks.
The first test will be played on June 24th with the following two on July 1st and July 8th.
