The main talking point in the build-up to the 2016 Six Nations from an Irish point of view is still the main talking point after two matches in the championship, and that is whether or not it is time to blood a new batch of young talent into the senior fold.
Everybody has given a view on it, from Brian O'Driscoll suggesting Joe Schmidt could do worse to start Garry Ringrose against Wales in the opener, or George Hook claiming that wholesale changes are needed, whereas Ronan O'Gara thinks that should the likes of Ringrose and McCloskey be given the nod and take a beating that it would have an adverse effect in the long term.
Today, Joe Schmidt spoke on his plans for the tournament going forward, and what he said will be well received by those who want to see the youngsters involved as he explained that Ireland's results so far mean that he can take more risks with his lineups:
Schmidt also suggested that the reason that young players have been overlooked in recent times was because Ireland had always been fighting for the championship and were conscious that points differential could make a big difference.

Although not many well buy his 'excitement' at having the chance to blood the youngsters though, considering that it's only because we have an almost non-existant chance of success in this tournament, but it certainly will make the remainder of this Six Nations more interesting.
Now we're looking forward to seeing the lineup he chooses when Ireland head to Twickenham next week.
