Jacob Stockdale responded to the stinging criticsim he received in the aftermath of Ulster's defeat to Leinster last week by scoring a superb powerful try.
Ulster were hammered by a rampant Leinster at the RDS last weekend 38-7, but Stockdale's performance defensively was openly questioned by fan's and pundits a like after the winger missed three tackles, on three separate occasion's, which led directly to three Leinster tries.
With Keith Earls making a superb return to action for Munster last weekend, Andrew Conway in a rich vein of form and Jordan Larmour making his mark over the Christmas period, there is little room for error for Stockdale ahead of the Six Nations.
However, the 21 year old responded perfectly to that criticism, bagging a try against French side La Rochelle that he had absolutely no right in scoring.
Stockdale showed off his strongest assets: his strength and pace. He received a sloppy low ball on the right touchline, the winger looked like had no where to go, but from a standing start handing off La Rochelle winger Vincent Rattez before dashing towards the try line to score.
