Not a bad way to start your title defence. Like Joe Schmidt's side, the Ireland women's team won the Six Nations title on points difference last year after an emphatic win over Scotland and it looks like Tom Tierney's charges have kept their foot on the accelerator all the way into this campaign.
They saw off Wales comfortably this afternoon in Donnybrook and played some incisive attacking rugby in the process. Their opening try was particularly easy on the eye, and while there was definitely a bit of obstruction in the build-up, centre Sene Naoupu finished excellently.
Naoupu is the wife of Connacht back row, George Naoupu, so their gym sessions must be fairly intense. The fixtures don't favour Ireland's chances of retaining their title as they have to visit France, who they lost to last year, and perennial favourites England but they can be delighted with the start they've made nonetheless.
Paris can't come soon enough.
