If Ireland's starting out-half for the Six Nations was being decided solely on form since the World Cup, then Paddy Jackson would undoubtedly take the berth against Wales in a month's time.
It is highly unlikely that Joe Schmidt will make the decision on that basis alone. Instead Johnny Sexton's class and form over an extended period of time working with Schmidt will be the reason he is chosen.
On BT Sport's Rugby Tonight on Monday, the panel discussed the form of Paddy Jackson for Ulster so far this season. Despite being unanimous in agreement that he is the form Irish ten right now, they were also unanimous that Sexton will get the nod. Still, there's no doubting that it's a good thing to have Jackson breathing down the neck of Sexton.
The potential of Garry Ringrose to play a part in the Six Nations was also discussed. Austin Healey labeled the Leinster back as a 'great talent'.
