Belvedere College looked dead and buried with little over 20 minutes remaining. They trailed St Michael’s College 19-3 and were struggling to regain the ball. Come the final whistle they would complete one of the most incredible comebacks the tournament has seen and triumph 20-19 winners.

Phil Werahiko told Eir Sport his side 'just kept ticking away' after the game, and that summary is apt. Belvo never panicked and in the dying minutes with the score 19-13, a rolling maul and strong Mateusz Galinski breakaway later saw the Rotunda based side come back to 19-18.
Up stood David Lacey, and slotted the high-pressure conversion to complete the unlikely comeback.
After the game, Belvedere Captain Ruadhan Byron told Eir of the systems they fell back on while Head Coach Phil Werahiko spoke of where the momentum came from.
