Racing Metro scrum half Maxime Machenaud had a rather comical hit on his UBB's Heini Adams in the Top 14 at the weekend. The diminutive Springbok picked and moved from the ruck, broke through a few tackles and was immediately stopped in his tracks by Machenaud who just lifted him up a la George North and kept running.
Adams was still on the Frenchman's shoulders well after the ball had fallen from his grasp and the play had been stopped by the referee. After an eternity had passed, the UBB number nine eventually hit the ground, in a somewhat humiliating manner.
The only way it could have been more embarrassing for Adams is if Machenaud ruffled his hair and gave him a patronizing pat on the back after the incident.
